Widely recognized as a premier manufacturer of luxury, handcrafted furniture, McGuire Furniture has introduced 26 new fabrics to their existing Headlands Collection line. These 26 new textiles bring the Headlands Collection total to 85 fabrics and 2 chenille cords.

New introductions include: (New) Basket Weave Chenille, 4 colors; (New) Boucle Weave, 7 colors; 5 new colors in Chenille; 5 new colors in Horsehair Linen; and 5 new Basic Linen Weave colors.

Challenging the conventional wisdom for outdoor fabrics, the Headlands Collection fabrics offer a surprisingly soft hand that makes them uniquely suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Inspired by the qualities and sophistication of rich indoor fabrics and the natural hues of the outdoors, McGuire refined traditional weaves and developed a smart color palette of neutrals and pastels. The additional weaves and colors round out the line with depth, richness and a luxurious hand. The new weaves and rich color palette blend with and enhance the existing McGuire aesthetic.

For its initial introduction in 2004, McGuire Textiles' Headlands Collection featured a palette inspired by the natural beauty of the Northern California coast and the San Francisco Bay area. All offer a surprisingly soft hand that makes them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. McGuire has engineered the entire Headlands Collection to represent the finest outdoor fabrics in the industry: soil- and mildew-resistant, 100% solution-dyed acrylic and a three-year warranty against fading.

The Headlands Collection debuted with five distinct weaves: Textured Solids; Checks; Woven Stripes; Ottoman Weaves and Chenille, added a Basic Linen Weave, a Horsehair Linen Weave and cord trimming to the selection in 2005. Each group, including the new Boucle and Basket Weave Chenille, relies on interesting colorways, subtle patterns and a unique softness to create qualities not seen in indoor/outdoor fabric to date.

Like the warmth and lushness of traditional wool chenille, McGuire's new Basket Weave Chenille offers the same qualities with additional durability. In a range of colors, this thick weave lends itself to both indoor and outdoor installations. A true white (Alabaster), warm white (Ivory), tan (Desert) and rich chocolate brown (Truffle) round out the offering.

The Boucle weave is an elegant addition to the Headlands Collection. A soft hand and vivid depth of color makes this weave versatile and sophisticated. In a range of neutrals from a warm white to an earthy tan and dark chocolate, this weave is flexible for a range of projects. Colors include: Almond, Ivory, Sand Dollar, Limestone, Oat, Ash and Truffle.

New Horsehair Linen Weave colors include: Ivory, Almond, Seagrass, Driftwood and Slate. The Basic Linen is now available in a couple more neutrals (Alabaster, Almond), sophisticated silver (Platinum), a washed red (Stinson) and a vintage blue (Pacific). Five new colors will be added to the existing Chenille weave in rich, natural hues: Alabaster, Ivory, Champagne, Pewter and Truffle.
