McGuire Celebrates 60 Years | October 2008
(San Francisco, October 2008) Founded in 1948, and incorporated in 1949, by John and Elinor McGuire, The McGuire Furniture Company celebrates its 60th year. McGuire is world renowned for contemporary interpretations of classic forms, natural materials and advancing the concept of indoor/outdoor living.
To commemorate this diamond anniversary, McGuire is introducing a limited edition Officer's Chair.

- There are only 60 Anniversary chairs available.
- Originally designed by Eleanor Forbes - McGuire's first guest designer - in 1955.
- Original oak frames recently found in the company archives.
- Available in a single finish and leather combination exclusive to this offering: natural oak with supple saddle-brown leather. Solid, unlacquered brass hardware.
- Signed by McGuire co-founder John McGuire and numbered with a brass tag.
- For each Anniversary chair sold, McGuire will make a meaningful contribution to environmental charities in the Philippines and Indonesia.
AVAILABILITY:
Since there are a limited number of these chairs available, they will be offered on a first come, first served basis through the McGuire flagship stores in New York, San Francisco and Scottsdale and through all Baker channels.
